We purchased this property in December 2016 from Richard and Sue Burk. What attracted us to this property is how well kept and maintained it is coupled with the way the Burks managed it. This is our second condo in West Yellowstone and were happy to see that the Burk’s standards were the same as ours. Because the property used to be listed on another Vacation Rental Listing site before we moved it to VRBO, we were not able to list the old reviews on VRBO. Below are the unedited reviews left by past guests for the Anglers Rest Property.

For about a week at the end of June, we, 4 friends and I, stayed at this townhouse. It is very comfortable because it has quiet environment among trees. It is not far from the center of town, and many shops, restaurants, and supermarkets are within a walking distance. 4 bedrooms are independent from a kitchen and a living room, and are very comfortable. Facilities, equipment and dishes in the kitchen were perfect, and the congestion can be avoidable because there are 2 bathrooms. The gas grill in the deck facing the backyard is very enjoyable and useful. I think that this is one of the most recommendable townhouses there, which I want to stay again.

This is the perfect place to stay with your family if you want to cook your own meals and eat in while cross country skiing the trails in Yellowstone.

Have stayed here three times over the years for fishing trips. Perfect location on quiet side street just a few blocks from downtown. Kitchen well equipped, everything you need, four separate bedrooms. Cable TV and WiFi. Always ready and in good shape. Local property managers if you need anything, owner very accommodating with area information prior to your arrival. We’ll be back.

“Vaste maison au calme, à proximité immédiate d’une entrée du Parc de Yellowstone”
Left on 09/19/2015 for a stay in July 2015

“The best place in every aspect”
Left on 08/18/2015 for a stay in July 2015
6 of us (3 adults and 3 kids) from two families stayed in Angler’s Rest during our South West National Park trip. Yellowstone was our first stop. The space is definitely the biggest draw. The three kids were thrilled to have their own beds and 3 stories to run around. All the rooms are roomy and clean with comfortable beds and nice furniture. Kitchen is well equipped with a large solid wood dining table, perfect for our family dinner. The owner is extremely generous with everything you would need for your stay. We really enjoyed making our own pasta and salad for one of our dinner there. The wifi was fast too, unlike some places we stayed where the wifi was either to slow to be useful or only works early in the morning when everyone else is asleep. We paid more for a deluxe cabin when visiting Grand Teton in Jackson with a fraction of the space and terrible beds. There was simply no comparison. We also had very good experience with the management team and the owner. Our call was answered immediately when we couldn’t find the extra towels. We emailed the owner after we found out that we left 4 library books behind and we got the books back in Australia in time for the return. They are just honest and kind people you wish to work with anywhere you go. We will definitely stay there again next time and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

“Convenient Location”
Left on 07/12/2015 for a stay in July 2015
This townhouse was far enough away from the busy streets of West Yellowstone to be a quiet retreat after a busy day of hiking and sightseeing in Yellowstone NP. It was within walking distance of good shopping and restaurants within West Yellowstone. We walked to meet our guide, Connie, for a kayaking trip (with Yellowstone Alpen Guides which was AWESOME!!). The townhouse itself was adequate – enough space for 6 adults and 1 tween. Kitchen could use some updating, including more lighting. Bathrooms were nice. The owners were very easy to work with. Check-in and checkout instructions were very clear.

This was our family’s first trip to Yellowstone. It was a fantastic vacation. This townhouse was clean, spacious and comfortably furnished. It’s in an ideal location just outside the park.

“Great Condo!”
Left on 06/18/2014 for a stay in June 2014
Angler’s Rest Condo is very comfortable and is located within walking distance to the town of West Yellowstone and within 5 miles of Yellowstone National Park. My family and I were there in early June 2014. My husband, myself, 2 adult daughters, a son-in-law and our 12 year old grandson stayed in the condo. We had more than enough room and the condo was perfect for our family. It was very clean, well furnished and well decorated giving it the feeling of being in a lodge. Beds and pillows were super comfy with great bedding. It has plenty of towels, washcloths and etc. We cooked dinner 2 nights and had an ample amount of cooking utensils in the kitchen.. I hope I have the opportunity to stay here again. it will be my first pick of places to stay in West Yellowstone. P.S. Communicating with the owner was very easy and he was also very helpful with tips and suggestions for our visit.

“Met our needs perfectly”
Left on 06/18/2014 for a stay in May 2014
Angler’s Rest was ideal for our extended family of 6 covering 3 generations. My eyes lit up when I first saw all the space for our family. Three floors with 2 bedrooms upstairs, 2 in the basement, and a very nice living area with comfortable seating and television. The kitchen was super clean and all of the appliances worked fine. We enjoyed cooking a large homemade breakfast and making a picnic lunch each day to take into the Park. There is a bathroom on each level. We are so glad that we stayed here and not in Yellowstone Park. We were very close to the entrance of the Park anyway, but staying at Angler’s Rest enabled us to also enjoy the quaint little town of West Yellowstone with it’s better than average restaurants and interesting shops. Had we not stayed at Angler’s Rest, it would not have been convenient for us to venture into West Yellowstone. We also found an excellent fly fishing outfitter not far from Angler’s Rest. Most of all, it was a wonderful place to come to at the end of the day with plenty of room for each person to have some space and relax.

“Amazing owners!”
Left on 10/31/2013 for a stay in October 2013
The couple that owns this townhouse truly made the trip for us. They did everything they could to make our first trip to Yellowstone enjoyable, from sending animal-spotting materials and maps to my 9-year-old to looking into wheelchair and scooter rentals for my elderly parents to telling me where to find the pillows my husband fell in love with. Once it became clear that we would be one of the unlucky ones to have our vacation affected by the government shutdown, they sent us links and ideas for all sorts of alternative activities. The townhouse itself was perfect for our needs, cozy and comfortable and a great base of operations for all our traveling about. The kitchen was especially well-stocked, including little things like salt and sugar that vacationers often forget to buy. It’s location couldn’t be better – off the beaten path’s noise, but just a minute to town and all its amenities. Should we be lucky enough to get back to Yellowstone (and actually see it this time) in the near future, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

“Fantastic Vacation in the house and at the Park”
Left on 07/30/2013 for a stay in July 2013
This house was perfect for our family. We had 7 adults and 3 children in our group. Everyone could have their privacy and we could group together as well. The back yard was perfect for our kids to play and we didn’t have to worry about them. The manager was kind enough to let us in early since we had been driving all night. It was close to town and close to the Park entrance. Excellent family vacation.

“Great Location, Great Price, Great Owners”
Left on 06/17/2013 for a stay in June 2013
There were 10 of us in the condo. There was plenty of sleeping space for three couples and 4 teenage/20 year olds. Just remember to count those boys that won’t share a bed. One of the rooms was really tiny, but we (one of the couples) wanted to hang down with the kids anyway!! So loved it. House was clean and well kept up. we were not in the house a lot as we were in Yellowstone a bunch (morning and evening). Location was perfect. We grilled one night on the back porch. That was awesome. The owners were wonderful, communicated very well through email, were extremely helpful and friendly. The only recommendation I would have is to be careful with the amount of people showering and washing clothes. A few times we had cold water in the shower, But there was 10 of us.

“Quiet and spacious vacation rental in West Yellowstone”
Left on 09/01/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We spent 5 nights at the Townhome in West Yellowstone. It was perfect for us, two couples of friends from Israel, who were looking for a place with all the amenities, that would also offer privacy for each of the families. The layout of the house which has bedrooms and bathrooms on two completely separate floors was ideal. The kitchen was fully equipped , a large dining table, and BBQ helped us cook and eat great meals, the cozy and well decorated living room was nice for gathering , reading and relaxing, and the owners Dick and Sue Burk had been extremely helpful and efficient with all our questions prior to booking. The house is perfectly located and convenient , just a short distance to downtown West Yellowstone, and to the West entrance to the park. My only comment for improvement would be to make sure that the local people who are supposed to assist you in case of need, would indeed be available on the phone. There was nothing dramatic, but we did have a small request, yet there was no response at the two cellphone numbers we were given and no one returned our messages. I’m sure that had I phoned Dick , he would have found some solution, but I didn’t want to bother him with this small issue. I would definitely recommend the place. Great value for your money!!

“Perfect location, very good condition for 3 families with kids”
Left on 06/18/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We stayed here 3 nights. we are 3 families with 5 young kids between 1.5 years to 9 years old. The plca is 5 minutes from yellowstone entrance. 2 minutes to the main street of the town. Still it is a street that eels like a residential street away from the crowd. It has 2 regular bedrooms in top floor. The third one is in basement. basement also has a living room iwth TV and sofa and a bunk bed. The basement level does not feel any different from teh regular bedrooms. Our first morning here we run into a no hotwater issue but that was fixed promptly by the evening. It has an adequate kitchen. If you have young kids and you need a kitchen this is far better that staying in any lodge in the park.
